Shield final - 31 Jan 2015

Congratulation to our men's 40 plus and women's 40 plus teams for their wonderful performances in the 2014-15 shield finals.
Prior to this season they had won 8 out of the 9 men's and women's shield finals held. Down to 5 women and 10 men on the day both teams came close with the women finishing in 2nd place and the men in 3rd.
The effort on the day was reflected by the men providing 23 season's bests performances out of the 26 events held - a huge achievement particularly as team members covered multiple events. (It doesn't require one of James's spreadsheets to note that the women had twice as heavy a workload - women's results to follow).

Congratulations to Terry and Emma on the recent birth of Elisha Rose - born a couple of weeks early in an attempt to qualify for finals. Weighing in at 2.65kgs she thankfully shows early signs of taking after her mother.
Best wishes to Clyde after his recent hip operation. The doctors were so impressed with Clyde's quick recovery, and so sick of his incessant laps around the hospital ward, that he was sent home early.
